IN UNIFORM
Ensign Richard M. Harden, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Harden of St. Paul, formerly of Sioux City, who has returned to this country after 10 months overseas duty in the European theater, was a recent visitor in Sioux City. He arrived at his home in St. Paul Christmas eve for a two week’s leave with his parents. Ensign Harden served on an L.C.I., and took part in the D-day invasion in Normandy. He has gone to the west coast for a new assignment. Before entering the service, Ensign Harden was a senior in the college of forestry at the University of Minnesota. He was graduated from the Columbia University midshipman school, New York City, in February 1944. He was graduated from Central high school, and is a former carrier-salesman for The Journal.
