Pfc. Karl E. Haralson, son of Mrs. Josephine Haralson, 2821 Correctionville road, is spending a 21-day leave with his mother. He has been awarded the silver star for having participated in five major battles. He is a ship gunner and has been stationed in the South Pacific. Pfc. Haralson joined the Marines in February, 1943, and received his basic training at San Diego, Cal.
