Raymond Joseph Hansen, a resident of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Council Bluffs, has been promoted to the grade of major. Maj. Hansen entered the service on Sept. 24, 1929,and has spent 20 months in the India-Burma theater and two months in the European theater of operations. Maj. Hansen is serving as engineering officer in the maintenance section of this base. The major is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school. His wife, Barbara Kathryn Hansen and his daughter, Elinor Claire, 11, live in Tampa. He is the son of Mrs. Agnes Elanor Patterson of San Diego, Calif., and the late William Hansen of Council Bluffs.
