DUNLAP SOLDIER LISTED as PRISONER OF WAR
WASHINGTON, (AP) – Names of 11 Iowans held as prisoners of war in Germany were announced Monday by the war department. The list included 2nd Lt. Sheldon E. Hanneman of Dunlap.

Sheldon William Hanneman was born Sept. 29, 1921 to Albert W. and Pearl E. Baldwin Hanneman. He died July 4, 2004.
2nd Lt. Hanneman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
