Pvt. Luvern J. Hames

 

 

 

PARENTS NOTIFIED SON WAS WOUNDED

Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hames of Remsen received word yesterday from the adjutant general’s office of the War Department, informing them of the wounding of their son, Pvt. Luvern J. Hames, in action in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, on January 9. The message said the lad was but slightly wounded and that hospital address and further details would be sent them soon. 

Pvt. Hames entered the Army September 7, 1942, and is with the infantry. He went overseas in March, 1944.

Luvern John Hames was born Aug. 15, 1921 to John Peter and Anna Boever Hames. He died Apr. 27, 2009.
