WILLIAM S. HAMANN—Son of Emil Hamann, of LeMars.  He has been in the Army since January, 1943, and was sent to Camp Haan, California.

Pfc. William S. Hamann spent a five-day furlough last week with his wife and son, Mrs. Wm. Hamann and Glenn in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hamann of LeMars.  They also visited in the home of Mrs. Hamann’s mother, Mrs. Blanche Hammett of Sioux City. He is stationed at Camp Haan, Calif.

William George Hamann was born May 10, 1919 to Emil Charles and Therese Margaret Doering Hamann. He died June 25, 2005 and is buried in Memorial Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
