TWO CARROLL MEN ARRIVE IN ENGLAND
Pvt. Donald J. Spieker and Pvt. Arthur S. Halford have just arrived in England, according to word received by relatives here. Pvt. Spieker is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spieker, to whom the message came. Mrs. Halford received word of her husband’s arrival. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Halford.

Arthur Sever Halford was born Aug. 3, 1920 to Benjamin and Della Jennings Halford. He died Dec. 14, 1948 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carroll, IA.
Pvt. Halford served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
