Pvt. Joe Grimoskas, 2410 ½ Correctionville road, has been officially commended by his regimental commander for meritorious service during a combat patrol in which 18 or more Japanese were slain without loss to the Americans. He is a rifleman. When questioned concerning the action he said: “It was a job well done. We had good leadership, but the Japanese soldiers are a tough as I thought they were.”
