Swaledale – Memorial services for S/Sgt. Harold Goad, killed in action over the English Channel June 11, will be held in the First Baptist church Sunday at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. A. S. Grarup of Sheffield will be the speaker.

Swaledale — The Rev. and Mrs. E. V. Goad received the purple heart medal awarded to their son, S/Sgt. Harold Goad, for military merit. S/Sgt. Goad was killed in action over the English channel June 11.
