Donald Gallagher, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Gallagher, 1222 17th street, has been advanced to chief electrician in the Navy. He has been in the Navy six years. He is expected home on furlough August 11.

Donald Matthew Gallagher was born Nov. 13, 1916 to William J. and Marie Fredrikka Olden Gallagher. He died Feb. 19, 1998 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
Petty Officer Gallagher served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
