Father of 8 Re-Enlists
A veteran of the Italian campaign with the Fifteenth air corps, with 35 months service and 16 combat missions as radio operator and ball gunner, and the father of eight children, S. Sgt. Lynn C. Frank, 1418 West Thirty-First street, has reenlisted in the army air forces.
Lt. W. D. Langforn, army recruiting officer who handled the reenlisting, stated that the S. Sgt. Frank’s reason for reenlisting was that the army offered real social security and that the sergeant wanted to see the job through.
By reason of reenlisting before November 21, Sgt. Frank will retain his rating and also will received the same family allotments, amounting to more than $300 monthly. Beginning from the date of his acceptance for continued service in the air forces, Sgt. Frank also will receive a $50 bonus for each year of previous service and a 60-day furlough with pay.
Sgt. Franks family includes, besides his wife, Goldie; Margaret, 14; Donald, 12; Patricia, 10; Betty, 8; Helen, 5; Jack, 4; Dick, 2; and Dianne, 10 months.
Sgt. Frank enlisted in the Army air forces October 31, 1943, and received his wings February 27, 1944, after a period of training at Fort Meyers, Fla. He recently returned to the United States from the European theater of operations.
