William H. Folk, son of Mr. and Mrs. L Folk, 2306 W. Fifth Street, who is in the air corps somewhere in South America, has been promoted to the rank of corporal. His wife Agnes Folk resides at 1709 Riverside Boulevard.

Sgt. William H. Folk, flight engineer in the ferrying division of the air transport command based at Long Beach, California, spent Friday night in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Folk, 2306 W. Fifth Street. His wife returned to her home at 1709 Riverside boulevard from Long Beach two weeks ago. Folk was stationed in Brazil for 18 months prior to being transferred to Long Beach in July, 1944.
