ELMA—Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Fogarty received a letter from their son, Gerald, who is in foreign service. He said he has received his package from the Howard County war relief.

Gerald Alphonsus Fogarty was born Sept. 8, 1912 to John Dominic and Mabel Veronica Griffin Fogarty. He died May 3, 1970 and is buried in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Lourdes, IA.
Sgt. Fogarty served in World War II with the U.S. Army 423rd Infantry.
