Hull Soldiers Battle Casualties
Three former Hull boys are reported missing or wounded in action on the Western front this week.
Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Will Dykstra received word that their son, Pvt. Richard Dykstra, was seriously wounded in Germany, Dec. 10th. He was an engineer with the 3rd Army. Richard went to Camp Roberts March 22nd, 1944, and was home on furlough before going overseas, arriving in France Sept. 20. His wife is living with her father, John Ten Harmsel.

Mrs. Richard Dykstra received the word Thursday that her husband, Pvt. Richard Dykstra, was seriously wounded in Germany on December 2nd, 1944. He was an Engineer in the Third Army. Pvt. Dykstra went to Camp Roberts, California, on March 23, 1944. While enroute to Fort Meade, Maryland, in the latter part of August, he spent two weeks furlough at home. On September 20, he arrived in France. Monday, January 1st, Mrs. Dykstra received a short letter from her husband dated December 21st, stating that he was glad to be alive yet.

HULL SOLDIER IN STATES
Mrs. Richard Dykstra had a telegram Saturday from Pvt. Richard Dykstra. It came from New Jersey that he was in the States and a letter would follow. He was wounded in France a few months ago.
