Alfred G. Dyer has been promoted to corporal. Corporal Dyer is stationed at the Hondo, Tex., air field. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Dyer, 1417 W. Third street.

IN UNIFORM.
Cpl. Alfred G. Dyer, who has been stationed at Hondo, Tex., is now in England. Before going overseas, he spent a few days’ furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dyer, 1517 W. Third street. His brother, Pfc. Robert J. Dyer, has been in England 17 months.

Meet in England
Cpl. Alfred Dyer and Pfc. Robert Dyer, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dyer, 1517 W. Third street, met in Birmingham, England, recently for the first time in three years, according to information received by the parents. They formerly were, members of Iowa national guard, company M, machine gun corps.
Cpl. Dyer enlisted in the ground air corps October 29, 1942, and was stationed at Hondo, Tex., as a cook for two years before going overseas in March, 1945.
Pfc. Robert Dyer was inducted into the army June 3, 1942. He was stationed at Camp McCain, Miss., with the infantry for a year and a half before going overseas in October, 1943. He served as supervisor with the military police in foreign service for 19 months.
Mrs. Doris Dyer, wife of Pfc Robert Dyer, resides at 2511 Myrtle Street.
