Clarence J. Dorhout, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Dorhout, Sioux Center, became a second lieutenant in the army air forces after completing bombardier training at the Carlsbad, N.M., army air field. Now ready for active duty, his destination is not disclosed. He is a former student at Northwestern Junior College, Orange City, Iowa.

Mrs. Dorhout is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Roos.

DORHOUT DISCHARGED
Clarence Dorhout (2nd Lt), son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dorhout, received his discharge effective Nov. 13th, and arrived home last week from Chatham Field, Georgia, where he was bombardier on a B-29. His wife accompanied him here where they intend to remain for the present. They have no plans for the immediate future. Clarence has been in service a little over two years. (photo included)
