IN UNIFORM
Sgt. Arthur DeLaughter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeLaughter, is spending a furlough at home from Fort Knox, Ky. His brother, Cpl. Robert DeLaughter, who is attending radio school at the Sioux Falls army base, spent the weekend here with his family. Cpl. Warren Volkner and Cpl. Jack Egan, also at radio school, spent the weekend with the DeLaughters.

Cpl. Robert G. DeLaughter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeLaughter, 802 10th street, received promotion to his present rank and was given his silver gunner’s wings when he completed the flexible gunnery course for radio men at the Yuma army air field this week.

Robert Glen DeLaughter was born May 5, 1921 to Roy and Lydia Lorenzen DeLaughter. He died Mar. 12, 2000 and is buried in Lakeview Gardens Cemetery, Spirit Lake, IA.
