IN UNIFORM
The purple heart award to Lt. Raymond J. Cusack has been received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Cusack, 2215 Jackson street. Lt. Cusack was wounded in action near Metz while serving with the Third army. He was hospitalized for many weeks in France. The order for his return to the United States on account of his injury was remanded upon Lt. Cusack’s request that he be given other wartime duties although incapacitated for battle service. The request was granted and he now is attached to the 979th signal corps.
