TO BE OFFICER
Corporal Donald D. Courtright, son of O. A. Courtright, 825 Fourth street, has been accepted as a student at the cavalry officers’ candidate school, Fort Riley, Kansas. Donald was graduated from Central high school in June, 1937. He enlisted in the Army and left on his 21st birthday, last January 27. He was assigned to the 14th cavalry at Fort Riley. After being in the Army a short time, he was promoted to troop clerk and then to corporal. He has made a record in markmanship and horsemanship.
