Riley in Action With Navy Again
Max E. Riley, draftsman in the Mason City engineering office since he got out of the navy following World war I, is going back into active duty with the navy again. He has been ordered to report to the naval training station at Ames temporarily with the classification of first class boatswain’s mate. Mr. Riley was stationed at Brest, France, for 18 months during and after the last war.
Joe Cook, also a veteran of the navy during World war I, received his orders on the same day as Mr. Riley, and both will report at Ames on Tuesday. They both enlisted several months ago.
