MADE SERGEANT WHILE IN HOSPITAL
Edward Christensen has been promoted to sergeant in a base hospital somewhere in New Guinea, where he is recuperating from a hernia operation.
Sgt. Christensen, whose wife resides at 29 North Sixth street, is serving with the army air forces and expects to return to combat duty soon.
