2 BLUFFS WAR DEAD BACK FOR REBURIAL
Jensen, Chancellor Killed in the Pacific

Bodies of two Council Bluffs war dead have been returned to the United States from the Pacific area aboard the army transport Dalton Victory, the department of the army announced Monday. The two are Seaman 1/c James M. Chancellor, son of Grace Chancellor, 3426 Avenue E., and Cpl. Charles E. Jensen, son of James C. Jensen, 3422 Seventh avenue.

Two Others from County

Two others from Pottawattamie county are Pfc. John J. Caster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caster of Neola, and 2nd Lt. Roy M. Pedersen, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy M. Pedersen, sr., of Avoca.

Pfc. Caster was killed in action on the island of le Shima April 28, 1945.

Funeral arrangements are indefinite pending the arrival of the body.

FUNERALS

Funeral services for Pfc. John J. Caster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caster of Neola, killed in action on le Shima April 28, 1945, will be held Saturday at 9:30 a. m.

Requiem mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Shaw at St. Patrick’s church in Neola.

The body will be taken to the residence Friday afternoon. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p. m.

The Neola American Legion post will conduct military rites at the graveside in the Neola cemetery. The Cutler funeral home is in charge.
