DECORATED
Maj. Raymond W. Carraher, 28, field artillery, was awarded the silver star for bravery during combat in New Guinea last June 22 and 24. A son of the late Robert Carraher, a detective, the young man entered the service in the fall of 1935 and was first stationed at Camp Lewis, Wash. His mother resides at 3915 Madison street. Since completing an officers training course, he has been an instructor.
