PFC. FRANK CARL KILLED
Larchwood High Graduate Was Paratrooper
Pfc. Frank Carl was killed in action over Germany March 24, according to news received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carl, 1843 S. Lemon street. Pfc. Carl was serving with a parachute infantry company.
Born May 29, 1924, Pfc. Carl was graduated from Larchwood high school in 1942. He joined the armed forces in February 1943, and took training at Camp Roberts, Cal. He served in the Aleutians 10 months. He took paratrooper training at Fort Benning, Ga., and had been overseas six weeks prior to his death. He was attending Minnesota Bible College in Minneapolis at the time he entered service.
