Sgt. Robert E. Brown is now in charge of personnel at the Two Hundred Sixteenth General Hospital, Camp Forrest, Tenn., where he returned after spending a 12-day furlough visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Brown, Lansing, Mich., and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Brown, 1128 Logan avenue. He is a former Waterloo man.

Robert Eugene Brown was born Aug. 4, 1920 to Arthur F. and Mildred Harris McGee Brown. He died in May 17, 2001 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.
1st Sgt. Brown served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
