ORVILLE BONNEMA--Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bonnema of LeMars, enlisted in the Marines in September. He was sent to San Diego, where he was assigned to a tank school. He writes home that he is highly pleased with his choice of the Marines as his branch of the service.

Orville Arthur Bonnema was born Aug. 14, 1922 to Harry and Dorothea “Dora" Mohlman Bonnema. He died Mar. 13, 1991 and is buried in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
