BECOMES MAJOR IN AIR FORCES
The promotion of Roger Blizzard from captain to major with the 8th Air Force somewhere in England was announced recently.
Son of Mrs. Carl Blizzard, 1721 South Seventh street, Maj. Blizzard has been in England for nine months.
He attended Iowa State college [present-day Iowa State University] at Ames, and in 1932 was commissioned a second lieutenant in the R. O. T. C. He entered the army in March 1941.
His brother, Lt. Howard Blizzard, was taken prisoner by the Japanese on the Philippine islands during the early days of that campaign.
