MANCHESTER—John J. Billmeyer, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Billmeyer of this city, has begun training as a member of the army air force. After completing his college course, he will take eight months of flight training prior to attaining the rank of second lieutenant.

John James Billmeyer was born Dec. 22, 1924 to Henry J. and Catherine Drees Billmeyer. He died Jan. 5, 1996 and is buried in Saint Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, IA.
