William F. Beckman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beckman, 3301 Sixth avenue, has been awarded the pistol trophy for “individual excellence during the year” by Rear Admiral Arthur S. Carpender, commandant of the Ninth Naval district at Northwestern university. He arrived home Friday night to spend a seven-day leave with his parents.
