WAR SERVICE NEWS 

Pfc. Clifford J. Bauerly, who has been stationed at Fort Logan, Colo., for the past two months, has been transferred to Hammer Field, Calif.  His wife, who has been living at Englewood, Colo., to be near him, accompanied him and will live at Fresno.

MEN AND WOMEN IN SERVICE  

Private First Class Clifford J. Bauerly, stationed at Camp McChord field, Tacoma, Wash., is visiting in LeMars with his wife and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Baack, and here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bauerly, 1417 Myrtle street.  A daughter was born to Private and Mrs. Bauerly October 13 in the Sacred Heart Hospital, LeMars.

NEWS of the BOYS in the SERVICE

Pfc. Cliff Bauerly, who is stationed at Bremerton, Wash., writes friends that he had a furlough during the holidays which he spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Schueller at Mount Vernon, Wash., formerly of LeMars.

SOLDIER NEWS.

McChord Field, Wash.—Pvt. 1st class Clifford J. Bauerly of McChord Field, Washington, was recently promoted to corporal it was announced at that Fourth air force base.  Cpl. Bauerly’s wife, Olivia, resides at 31 Fourth Ave. SW, LeMars.  After Cpl. Bauerly completed high school, he did farming work for six years. His favorite sports are hunting and fishing. Cpl. Bauerly’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Bauerly, live at 1417 Myrtle street, Sioux City.

Clifford Jacob Bauerly was born Nov. 9, 1922 to John J. and Cora M. Vanduesen Bauerly. He died Mar. 5, 1993 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
