Harold A. C. Asmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Asmussen, 3915 Orleans Avenue, has been promoted to the grade of corporal at the army air force bombardier school, Midland, Texas.

Sgt. Herrold A. C. Asmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris A. Asmussen, 3915 Orleans avenue, is assigned to the physical training department of the Midland army field, the A. A. F. central flying command’s key bombardier base at Midland, Tex. Sgt. Asmussen is a graduate of East high school and of Morningside college, where he studied electrical engineering. Before his induction into the army air forces, he was an instructor of biology and health education at Central high school.

Herrold A. C. Asmussen was born Sept. 15, 1910 to Chris A. and Catherine Thompson Asmussen. He died Oct. 13, 1997 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
