Cpl. Perry R. Aker left Monday for Fort Ord, Calif., where he will enter the hospital for a check up before being reassigned and given a months rest furlough.

NEWS of the BOYS in the SERVICE

Sgt. Perry Aker arrived in LeMars Thursday, to spend an 18-day furlough with his wife, the former Marjorie Dorr. Sgt. Aker is stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., and will report there when his furlough is up. Mrs. Dorr will remain here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dorr.

Perry Randolph Aker was born Feb. 14, 1920 to Allan Perry and Lulu Elizabeth Randolph Aker. He died Dec. 25, 1990 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.
