RICHARD ADERHOLD BECOMES 2ND LT.

Richard R. Aderhold of Woodstock, Minn., received his silver pilot wings of the Army air forces in a graduation ceremony held at Blackland Army air field, Waco, Texas. He graduated in the seventeenth and largest class of cadets and student officers to be graduated as military pilots from the base. The ceremony was held on the flight line at the airfield. He will now enter the Army air forces as a second lieutenant and will be used as an Army pilot.

Richard is a brother of M. H. Aderhold, who taught in the LeMars high school. He attended Western Union College from 1941 to 1943.

Richard Roland Aderhold was born July 3, 1923 to William Emil and Henrietta Juliann Kruse Aderhold. He died Jan. 21, 1982 and is buried in Nashville National Cemetery, Madison, TN.
