More Iowans On Air Force Job—In or out of the cockpit of their 450-horsepower basic training Valiant, this trio of Iowans is always busy at the job of mastering flight maneuvers. These aviation cadets put a model plane through the paces which are on schedule at Goodfellow Field, army air forces basic flying school at San Angelo, Texas, before they move on to advanced school and wings. Night takeoffs and landing, acrobatics, stalls and spins must be learned before assignment to an army air forces combat post. From left to right are John H. Bauwens, Davenport: Victor W. MORE HEADACHES FOR AXIS

Victor Adamek was graduated Saturday from a flying field of the U. S. army air forces, given his silver wings and commissioned as an officer in the army air force and ready to bring on more headaches for the Axis.

Commissioned as second lieutenant was: Victor W. Adamek, Traer, Ellington Field, Texas.

Victor Walter Adamek was born Sept. 8, 1920 to Steve and Julia Chalupnik Adamek. He died July 3, 1991 and is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA.
