William Darwin “Darwin" Hine was born Nov. 30, 1916 to Haydn H. and Della Eves Hine. He died Dec. 9, 2004.
Darwin served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served as an instructor in Bombardier-Navigator school in Deming, NM and was transferred to the 20th Air Force in Guam where he was a bombardier on a B-29 in the final days of the bombing in Japan.
