Pvt. Clarno served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Tow Target Detachment, Clark Field, Philippine Islands and was MIA and became a Japanese POW and died in Cabanatuan POW Camp in the Philippine Islands.

Emil Chris Claussen was born Feb. 1, 1918 to Emil Chris and Annie Petersen Claussen. He died June 15, 1999 and is buried in Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, Arkansas.
