Luverne Morris Folvag was born June 13, 1923 to Lloyd C. and Marie Nelson Folvag. He died Aug. 10, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Folvag served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the service of his country near Savo Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
