Russell Kenneth Dixon was born Dec. 31, 1920 to Kenneth and Aline Genevieve Hanson Dixon. He died July 11, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

Pvt. Dixon served in World War Ii with the U.S. Army 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the invasion of Sicily. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
