Charles Laurence Deitch was born Dec. 8, 1921 to Charles Dewey and Clara Althea Reed Deitch. He died July 13, 1944 and is buried in Westview Cemetery, Kirkville, IA.

Lt. Deitch served in World War II with the U.S. Army 12th Infantry, 4th Division and died of wounds received in action in France.
