John Martin Young was born Feb. 8, 1926 to John and Goldie Wyrick Young. He died Feb. 2, 1945 and is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Pvt. Young served in World War II with the U.S. Army 124th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, Mechanized and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
