Frank Aaron Eberle was born Sept. 22, 1919 to Christian and Katherine M. Wurster Eberle. He died Oct. 24, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in West Fairview Cemetery, Lenox, IA.
Pvt. Eberle served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 803rd Engineer Battalion, Aviation and was MIA/KIA in the South China Sea when his ship sank. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
