Samuel “Sam" Lipsman was born Sept. 6, 1914 to Harry and Esther Lipsman. He died Jan. 6, 1943 and is buried in Tri-City-Jewish Cemetery, Davenport, IA.

2nd Lt. Lipsman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 504th Bomb Squadron, 346th Bomb Group and died as a passenger aboard B-24-D Liberator #41-24202.
