Warren Eugene Sulser was born Mar. 5, 1926 to William U. and Kathryn L. Sulser. He died May 31, 1945 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. He was initially buried in the 2nd Marine Division Cemetery on Saipan and returned to the U.S. in 1948.
Cpl. Sulser served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 7th Regiment, 1st Division and participated in combat operations on Okinawa where he was wounded in action and evacuated to Saipan where he died of his wounds. He had been wounded earlier on Peleliu.

Ervin Carlysle Sutherland was born Mar. 21, 1921 to Monroe Elbert and Phronie Estelle Wehry Sutherland. He died Nov. 15, 2019 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.
Sgt. Sutherland served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
