Lester Byron Hodgins was born Apr. 27, 1912 to William S. and Grace A. Carpenter Hodgins. He died July 30, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Lester Byron Hodgins served aboard the USS Indianapolis (CA-35).

He was MIA/KIA in the service of his country and he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Orville Eugene “Bud” Hokel was born Jan. 23, 1916 to Burton T. and Nora H. Austin Hokel. He died Aug. 12, 1992 and is buried in Ankeny Memorial Gardens, Ankeny, IA.

Sgt. Hokel served in World War II with the U.S. Army 398th Signal Co. Aviation.
