Donald Leroy Robbins was born Jan. 24, 1922 to John S. and Lovina Robbins. He died June 1, 1944 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Petty Officer Robbins served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Herring (SS-233) and was MIA/KIA/FOD when that vessel was sunk by gunfire from shore batteries. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
