Fred Herman Plenge was born Oct. 11, 1925 to Fred Charles and Martha L. Goerndt Plenge. He died Sept. 15, 1944 and is buried in Tenhassen Cemetery, Ceylon, MN.

Pvt. Plenge served in World War II with the U.S. Army 317th Infantry, 80th Division and died in France in the service of his country.
