Pvt. Hurtig served in World War II with the U.S. Army 105th Engineer Combat Battalion, 30th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Cpl. Husted served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died while in the service of his country.
