Clarence Howard Walker was born Apr. 11, 1916 to Christopher W. and Lucy B. Walker. He died June 13, 2002 and is buried in Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Riceville, IA.

John Patrick Murphy Walkup was born Nov. 8, 1922 to Hazel and Edward Murphy and adopted by John Earl and Mary Ann Freese Walkup. He died Oct. 30, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Walkup served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24) and was MIA/KIA near Leyte during a kamikaze attack. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Gordon G. Wallace was born July 1, 1923 to Roy Elmer and Lois May Graham Wallace. He died Mar. 16, 1945 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA. 

Petty Officer Wallace served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hughes (DD-410) and USS Whitney (AD-4).

James Joseph Ward was born Mar. 24, 1922 to Albert Edwin and Velma Julia Drennan Ward. He died Nov. 8, 1943 and is buried in Prairie View Cemetery, Gilman, IA. He was initially buried in USAF Cemetery, Cape Torikina, Bougainville and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Pvt. Ward served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and participated in combat operations on Bougainville until KIA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Army Aviation Engineer Battalion.

Lloyd H. Wheeldon was born Jan. 8, 1919 to William Cicero and Beulah M. Wheeldon. He died Jan. 11, 1949 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.

Pvt. Wheeldon served in World War II with the U.S. Army 19th Ordnance Company and died when the jeep he was driving went out of control and swerved off the road.
