Lester Perry Karr was born Jan. 24, 1909 to Fred and Wilda Ruth Dauben Speck Karr. He died May 4, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Petty Officer Karr served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Luce (DD-522) and was MIA/KIA when that ship was sunk in enemy action. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
