John Henry Kirkpatrick was born Sept. 24, 1922 to Charlie M. and Anna M. Kirkpatrick. He died July 27, 1944 and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Barnes City Cemetery, Barnes City, IA. He was initially buried in USAF Cemetery Guam #2 Agat, Guam.
Pvt. Kirkpatrick served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and died of wounds received in action on Guam.
